Spotlight: Scarlett DeBease

Waccabuc NY, which is in Westchester NY.

I live with:
My husband and son. Our daughter lives in Colorado, but visits often.

Tell us about the work you do. How did you wind up here?
You know that deer in the headlights look a woman often gets when staring into her closet trying to figure out what to wear? Well, I help by showing her how great she looks in the right clothes for her shape, life, size and budget.

Twenty-two years ago I hired an image consultant, and never looked back. Learning what worked for me and what didn’t changed my life, closet, self esteem, and bank account. You can save a lot of money when you only buy clothes you’ll actually wear.

A few years later, I decided I wanted to give women the same “Aha – I know what to wear!” moments that I had when I worked with an image consultant.

What did you want to be when you were a little kid? How does that play into the work you do now?
I wanted to be an actress and studied acting in Performing Arts H.S. to my first year in college. My acting and improvisational skills come in very handy for when I make styling tip videos.

What problems do you solve for your clients?
After working with me, a woman knows how to dress the body she has. She easily puts together outfits that show her personality, creativity and success. She has a closet filled with clothes she’ll want to wear. Basically, she looks and feel confident and attractive…because she is.

Tell us the best part of what you do.
Seeing how a woman now sees herself differently and more positively, than she had before getting my guidance.

What’s your personal motto or mantra?
The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second best time is today.

Where’s your favorite place to relax?
The beach under an umbrella, but for the other days of the year I love being in my bedroom and home office.

Tell us a favorite accomplishment.
I have many, but they all have one thing in common: I NEVER give up. I use that determination in helping women who may have, temporarily, given up on figuring out what to wear.

How can clients work with you?
I work with women in-person, virtually, and in an online course that will be available again in July 2019. Visit my website:
